Juynjulam is the Word for Willy Wagtail from the Bundjalung Wehlubal Language Group.
Our Bundjalung family line history comes from the Wahlubal people up around the Tabulam area, then to Yugilbar Station, on to Baryulgil Mission before settling in & around Grafton. I was taught that we are a mixture of wahlubal/wehlubal & that explains why some of the words I grew up hearing & using are Wehlubal. Aboriginal language was an oral language & there can be a few different ways of spelling used, in the Yugambeh-Bundjalung Dictionary it’s spelled Juhnydjulam.
